The KanCert

"There's the truth, and then there's the truth."
-some girl exiting HP Pavilion

So whaddup readers....it's been kind of a long time. so here's one hezza long post!
so last satchurday, april 19th we went to the
Glow in the Dark Tour ft. his majesty, Kanye West.
Now the origins of this concert experience extends way back to February or something when I heard about it on the radio, and contact Christopher about going. Then we converse and our savior Jeannie helps it out and gets tickets...wait did i say tickets, i meant like tickets on the FLO!

Then concert kinda went to backburner-status.
then concert was forgotten.
then concert was remembered...and heavy studying ensued (which, by the way, was largely unhelpful).

But without further ado, here it is:

here's jeannie with our concert ticketeezies
Once we got to HP Pavilion, I was trying to hide my camera so securrity didn't bust me. So i was being sneaky (read: awkward), and looped the camera string around my incredibly slender arm and stuffed the camera into my pit. Then as we got closer to the security checkpoint, i kept on thinking how embarrassing it would be for me if they discovered my metally armpit and made me dig it out in front of everybody. so with a quickness i dig it out and it's all good. security just asked if i had a cell phone. But Horseman told us that the security peeps made him return his camera to his car.... so inconsistent, HP.

So we enter the pavilion at about 6:40ish (concert began at 7) and we decide to get in line for merch. Once we get to the front of the line, the cashier, Sharon, is not having it. She stops all transactions and is like "I will not help anybody until i have ONE line in front of me. One LINE!" and she steps back and folds her arms and gives us the stink face. There were some gossip girls in front of us and they were being way HS about the whole sitch...and were freaking out verbally. they even called Sharon a D. A. B.!!!! So luckily, Christopher, by nature, looks "innocent" and stuff so Sharon just bypasses The Hills and is like "You, young sir, you're next" So we just tell Chris to order everything for us.
For the low price of $40, i got this shirt:
It looks really nice in person, i just wish the blue was more of this fobby blue instead of turqoise. but whatezza...as long as there's chinatown there'll be more fobby blues.

we then try to enter the stadium 3 times, and are incorrectly redirected until we find the "Floor Entry" door.

oh yes! while the merchandise throwdown was going on, Lupe fiasco started playing. so Hip Hop Saved My Life was playing while we were held hostage by Sharon, but it's alright....even though that's the one song i really know most of...

But lupe looked cool. in his red bedazzled pants and glow bracelet
and shemagh.

Here's a quick snippet of "paris, tokyo" (i think some Kanye officials are deleting concert clips...i had to re-upload a few, so watch 'em fast before they disappear forreals)

Sorry, my vids are going to be short and shaky and pictures blurry because the HP pavilion stocks its staff with the Blue Blazer Beezies. The BBB seriously would not rest all night long.... and here's their captain, Barbara.
During Lupe, Barbara came up to me twice. the first time she saw my camera she was like "Put it. away." then the second time she like looked at me in the face and was like "if you do it one more time, it belongs to ME" and she tried to pull some KCDC discipline skills...and they worked.
But during intermission, Christopher snaps the other realm of HP Securrrity, the yellow polo dudes......who flirt with concert goers...extensively.
So extensively, we saw the BBB break up Yellow Polos and Hoochie Hoodratz on several occasions.
then we saw leslie, who hailed from row 11.

i didn't get much of n.e.r.d. because the BBB were everywhere, but i managed to get some audio (and Jeannie's warning)

Then after n.e.r.d. ended, Pharrell kinda stayed back and was meeting some fans which was cool...except we weren't any of those fans.

then rihanna came on and her set was aite....
first homegirl pulled out a cig and starts lighting up
and we're like "holdup!" and then later she's like "first i wanna say, smoking kills"
mixed messages, Rihanna.
and by the way, rihanna killed the mood by playing like 3 slow songs...not having it

here's some of Hate That I Love You.
Did you know that Rihanna is one month and one day younger than douglas?

after rihanna played there was like an 8 hour intermission, and we "saw" Baron Davis.
Christopher has a more in-depth review.

Then, at 10:30 pm the real concert started.

jeannie's excelente vijjeo of Good Morning

EDIT: Whoops, that's actually "i wonder"
but you get the idearr

Kanye in his spaceship thing...with RoboJane
crowd was going apeshizz for his bapeshizz

then, like horseman predicted, he did a Holla We Want PRENUP thing... (pardon the voice)

kan kan had some crazy fire effects

then came the infamous lynched wolf mannequin
flashing lights

and then, the Good Life happened...
and he had fireworks (on the screen)
and sang the grandmama part like 8 times... it was clayzey!

THe Finale

oooooohweeee SOOOOO goood

then he sang Hey Mama which was really nice. then he got depressed
and Don't Stop Believing played.
then he got re-energized for.... i think Homecoming.
by the way, it's a new single... and the kanye bear
rocks the shemagh.
then he finally played Stronger and Touch the Sky.

It was the best. and kanye did not leave the stage once.
nor did he have anyone on the stage with him...
true class-A Diva.

Christopher with our yellow polo allies in the background

and after the concert ended, row 32 representation

and here are just a few pics i snapped on the way out

his majesty in his christian dior.
and red belt
the air-yeezies
which i will rock (with a mink boots in the summertime like will.i.am)

AHHHHH i want to go back.

outtiez.
this took me forever and a day
but it felt like nothing
except now i have carpel tunnel.
but maybe i'll just borrow Kanye's wrist guard or whatever he is wearing above...buzz lightyear-status space gun
